The story of ALCEA is one of groundbreaking innovation. In the 1960s, we were a small team of 14 employees, with just two cars parked outside and a group of sales representatives traveling by bicycle. By constantly investing in research and development, we have gained an unparalleled expertise in coatings, allowing us to work today with 1,250 raw materials and produce over 4,000 finished products. Together, we have transformed the paint manufacturing process, leading to the creation of a multi-functional paste system that offers enhanced performance for both industrial and retail needs. This evolution marked the shift from artisan color production to a fully industrialized process. Back in the 1980s, we introduced a customer-friendly tinting system and built a groundbreaking facility that earned us the 1984 award for best technological innovation in the industry.
Since then, we have empowered businesses in every sector to create unique, standout colors, supported by our distributor network. In 1997, we launched the GEOCOLOR tinting system, a project driven by a team of young graduates who received recognition from Regione Lombardia. In 2002, we began designing our Senago production plant, allowing us to expand the applications of our coating solutions. Today, our research focuses on minimizing environmental impact and recycling production waste, reaffirming our commitment to sustainability and innovation.
